Charlotte Nicole Victoria is a self-taught visual artist and photographer living in the Netherlands. Her work revolves around the themes of archives, oblivion and the women's body. A common thread running throughout her work is the valorisation of forgotten or untold personal histories.

“What are you holding on to?”

This series explores the concept of how one can interact and relate to another. In this photographical narrative around our senses, in this case the sense of touch, we are confronted with the fact that  it can often be misleading and untrustworthy. 

With this collection of empty hands - printed in a repetitive, almost obsessive process - the artist leaves you to reflect on the melancholic areas of intimacy.
